Hieracium frigidum  Wedd.;  Asteraceae o Compositae

Hierbas que miden hasta 60 cm de alto, cubiertas de pelos largos de color blanco. Las hojas de la base son espatuladas, miden hasta 12 cm de largo. La inflorescencia posee cabezuelas al final de los tallos, son colgantes, que miden hasta 3 cm de diámetro; las brácteas son de color verde oscuro. Las flores son irregulares y presentan una lengüeta; de hasta 25 mm de largo, con 5 dientes pequeños, de color amarillo limón.

Distribución: Venezuela a Perú. En el PNC se las encuentra en el páramo de pajonal.

Herbs up to 60 cm tall, covered with long white hairs. The basal leaves are spathulate, up to 12 cm long. The inflorescence is of heads at the end of the stems, pendent, up to 3 cm in diameter; the bracts are dark green. The flowers are irregular and strap-shaped, up to 25 mm long, with 5 small teeth, lemon yellow.

Distribution: Venezuela to Peru. In CNP it is the found in the grass páramo.
